Companies Newly Listed on U.S. Stock Markets in 2025
A total of 347 companies went public on U.S. stock exchanges in 2025, making it the strongest year for IPOs since 2021. Foreign issuers accounted for 58% of all U.S. IPOs in the first quarter alone, reinforcing the position of the NYSE and Nasdaq as the world’s top destinations for new listings.
The NYSE hosted seven of the ten largest IPOs of the year, led by design software maker Figma (NYSE: FIG) and Swedish fintech Klarna (NYSE: KLAR). Other notable NYSE debuts included Circle Internet Group (NYSE: CRCL), the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, and LNG specialist Venture Global.
Nasdaq welcomed 142 IPOs in the first half alone — 83 operating companies and 59 SPACs. Marquee new listings on Nasdaq spanned several sectors:
- AI & Cloud: CoreWeave (CRWV), a cloud infrastructure provider powered by Nvidia GPUs and the largest tech IPO since 2021.
- Fintech & Trading: Chime, a digital banking platform, and eToro (ETOR), the Israel-based social trading platform that debuted in May.
- Digital Assets: Galaxy Digital (GLXY), which moved its listing from Canada to the U.S.
- Healthcare: Medline, a medical supplies company whose IPO ranked among the year’s largest, and Omada Health (OMDA), a digital chronic-care provider.
- Consumer: Smithfield Foods, the world’s largest pork producer, and Chagee, a Chinese premium milk-tea chain.
- Space: Firefly Aerospace, the first commercial rocket-maker to land on the moon, whose offering was 25 times oversubscribed — a record for the space industry.
Other 2025 newcomers included cybersecurity firm SailPoint, ticketing marketplace StubHub — founded during the dot-com era — and Miami International, a financial marketplace operator focused on options trading. Technology, digital assets, fintech, and healthcare dominated IPO activity throughout the year.
