Prague Stock Exchange (PSE) Stocks: Full List with START Market

Originally founded in 1871, the Prague Stock Exchange (Burza cenných papírů Praha) is the oldest and largest securities market in the Czech Republic. Trading was halted for over 50 years following World War II, and the modern exchange reopened on 6 April 1993 after the fall of Communism. The PSE is now a 99.54% subsidiary of Wiener Börse AG, with all activities supervised by the Czech National Bank.

The exchange organizes trading across four market segments — Prime, Standard, Free, and START — covering equities, bonds, investment funds, and derivatives. All trading is conducted in Czech Crowns (CZK).

  • Banking & finance: Erste Group Bank, Komerční Banka, MONETA Money Bank
  • Energy & utilities: ČEZ, a major Central European power company and PX index heavyweight
  • Consumer goods: Philip Morris ČR, among the longest-standing Prague-listed issuers
  • SMEs on START: Smaller Czech and Slovak companies listed under simplified conditions since the START Market launched in 2018

The PX index — the exchange’s official benchmark — is a capitalization-weighted index of the most actively traded blue chips, currently composed of 12 constituents with a maximum weight of 20% per share. It is calculated by the Vienna Stock Exchange and has been running since April 1994. You can explore the full list of PX index constituents separately.

The START Market was specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, with no minimum requirements on company size, free float, or operating history. Companies listed on START trade in daily morning auctions from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, while the main market operates from 9:00 am to 4:10 pm.
