List of Companies in the PX Index

The PX Index tracks the performance of the most liquid and largest Czech companies listed on the Prague Stock Exchange. These blue-chip constituents represent a significant portion of the Czech equity market’s total capitalization, with dominant sectors including Banking, Energy, and Industrials.

Major companies within the index, such as ČEZ, Komerční Banka, Erste Group Bank, and Moneta Money Bank, hold substantial weight. Their performance significantly influences overall index movements due to their high market capitalization share.

Inclusion requires meeting strict criteria: Companies must be listed in the Prague Stock Exchange’s main market segment, demonstrate high stock liquidity, maintain headquarters or core operations in the Czech Republic, and comply with free float requirements ensuring sufficient publicly tradable shares. Regular financial reporting under international standards in English is mandatory.

The index composition undergoes quarterly reviews by the exchange. Constituents failing to meet criteria – whether due to declining liquidity, market value, or regulatory compliance – may be replaced by qualifying companies.

The PX Index serves as the benchmark for Czech equities and underpins investment products like ETFs (e.g., ČSOB PX Index Fund). Supplementary indices include the PX-GLOB for global Czech-focused companies and PX-TR for dividend-focused stocks.
